Careaga Engineering completes geotechnical evaluations and has a soils laboratory capable of a variety of soil permeability testing services. Laboratory soil permeability services are provided, as well as for numerous other engineering and construction firms. Geotechnical field services for witnessing soil logs, collecting soils samples are also available upon request.
Onsite Soil geotech evaluation testing for stormwater infiltration systems, soil bearing capacity verification (required for modular concrete foundations in NJ), and remedial investigations for settlement or other foundation problems are routinely completed. Soils Testing Services include the following:
1. Permeability Class Rating tests and percolation tests for septic (ISDS - Individual Sewage Disposal Systems) standard or moundless installations
2. Tube Permeameter Testing for stormwater drywell and detention basin percolation rates, septic system installations
3. Soil Bearing Capacity for residential foundations, soil bearing with water drainage issues, penetrometer testing for load bearing capacity
4. Sink Hole evaluation
We also offer field testing including basin flood testing, pit bailing testing, and piezometer installations as required by the Local or County Health Department
